Home grown manufacturer Micromax has launched its first 4K Ultra High Definition television range in India. Micromax's new 4K-UHD TV range will be exclusively available via online retailer Flipkart in 42-inch and 49-inch variants, priced at Rs.39,990 and Rs.49,990 respectively.
The 49-inch 4K UHD television from Micromax boasts of a 1.28 cm width and a 3840x2160 pixels resolution. It features a full golden metal frame, glass finish back and a 178-degree viewing angle. The TV runs Android 4.4 Kitkat and comes preloaded with Google Play Store, Facebook, Twitter and Gmail.
According to Micromax, its 49-inch 4K UHD television's smart somato-sensory remote lets you scroll through the menu as an air mouse or via voice commands. It can also be used to play the pre-loaded motion sensors games, doubling it as game controller.
It comes with built-in wifi and M! Screen feature through which users can share data on a home network via DLNA by simply pairing their smartphone/tablet with the television. It is powered by a quad-core GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It comes with 2.5GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB.
Meanwhile, the 42-inch variant runs on Android 4.2 Jellybean and comes with features like Miracast, smart remote with gravity sensors, dual core GPU, 2GB of inbuilt memory and plethora of connectivity options.
"The new range targets the consumers who want a larger than life experience and desire to access smart android content on a bigger, sharper, crystal clear screen." Rajesh Agarwal, co- founder, Micromax Informatics said during the launch.
