In addition to the new Mi 4c, Xiaomi
today also launched new Mi Bluetooth Speaker at its event in China. The speaker
resembles a pencil box, and is priced at 199 Yuan, which roughly translates to
$32 or Rs 2,045.
The talking points of the Mi
Bluetooth Speaker are the microSD card slot, and in-built mic. The microSD card
lets you listen to songs directly on the speakers, while the in-built mic lets
one answer calls when connected to a smartphone.
As far as the technicalities are
concerned, the Mi Bluetooth Speaker features a frequency response of
85Hz-20KHz, and a maximum output power of 3W. As mentioned above, it features a
microSD card slot as well as an AUX-in port, and can connect to devices via
Bluetooth 4.0. It is equipped with a 1,500mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is
good enough for eight hours of music playback.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker boasts an
aluminum body, and features dimensions of 168×24.5x58mm. It also just weighs
270 grams. The Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth speaker comes in Gold, Blue and
Pink colors. Just like the Xiaomi Mi 4c, it too has gone on sale in
China, with no word on if the company plans on launching the speakers in other
countries.
