BSNL launches WhatsApp service for registering complaints in Indore

To register the complaints of consumers, Indore Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched WhatsApp service for the telecom users. On Thursday, officials of BSNL held a meeting for the issues relating telecom sector.

Apart from this, new mobile towers are in the process of installation across the city and by 2016 the towers would began its functioning. Addressing the meeting, General Manager, MR Rawat, said, " This would make it easier for the telecom users to use WhatsApp service. BSNL is making continuos efforts to work for the growth of the sector. We are trying our best to give the users best possible deals."

Earlier struggling to continue the multimedia messaging, BSNL had shut-down the multimedia messaging services (MMS) platform under BSNL Network from November 1. With the advent of WhatsApp and its increasing popularity, BSNL was finding it difficult to gain any grip on MMS services.

Aiming to increase the network and land-line connection lines, BSNL would be installing FTTH (fibre to the home). Discussions on installation of new mobile tower at rural places were held. Senior General Manager, Piyush Khare, said, "Upcoming Simhastha would be witnessing huge development works from BSNL. We would be carrying out test drive on continuos basis for the survey of telecom network."

Indore has a consumer base of around 3 lakh BSNL users in city, and 26 lakh across the state BSNL.
